Volt Point
Original Size: 7.93” x 7.87”
Medium: #2 Pencil
(6/6/14)
This artwork is the oldest in what is left in my personal collection. This is one of the last ten art works that depict my earlier art style prior to my attempts to diversify and professionalize my craft. In my earlier days as a young artist I focused primarily in the drawing and color pencil mediums. My artwork was inspired by Native American cultural artwork and their simplified geometric portrayal of people, animals, and concepts, which helped me learn expression in my own work. this work represents one of my earliest depictions of the impact of lightning. It expresses my desire at the time to focus on centered expanding designs that continue off the page and hold symmetrical balance that should remain when it is viewed from any alignment. It was reworked in 2020 to preserve its quality, as it had aged.
