the tenth and last art piece of my youth collection, this artwork is an exercise in balance and color arrangement as all colors present were achieved by the three primaries being blended and a singular rich copper paint. Using value gradients instead of shading, the rule of lighting was broken and inversed to give a glow that comes from within the flower to accentuate the details. Black paint was used to crisp edges and fill in to act as negative space, creating a stark contrast between the flowers and the central pattern.
