Light Through Water
Original Size: 8” x 10.125”
Medium: Acrylic Paint
12/26/15
The eighth artwork in the past collection, this piece is inspired by the process of light refraction off of objects, particularly water in this case. This is also the first artwork belonging to an intentional set of works the “elemental” collection, which is based on the four elements of water, earth, fire, and air as well as a process that is affected by that element. In creating this collection, I began to expand the bounds of symbolic expression as I tried to represent these concepts in a simplified abstract portrayal.
