The 5th art work in my collection, this is one of my first applicable uses of acrylic paint which allowed me to learn how to apply larger and richer layers of color than I had previously experienced with drawing, achieving deep rich values with this new painting medium. It was also at this time that i developed a fascination with astronomy and science in general. It was the inspiration of how temperature works in reality that inspired the creation of this work. The artwork portrays the cycle of day and night and how the sun rises and provides warmth while the moon catches said light and reflects it, giving us light even in the cold darkness in the absence of the sun.
